The cinematic musical score fits perfectly with the action, and the voice acting is a big improvement on the previous game. Spider-Man himself is beautifully drawn and animated, whether he's soaring through the skies or socking it to bad guys.Īlthough not nearly as detailed on the ground as the Grand Theft Auto games, the version of New York in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is spectacular in its scale and variety. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is beautifully presented and has the feel of a classic console superhero title. You can use these to throw together combos to deadly effect, and new moves are constantly added as you power-up Spider-Man's skills. It's great fun when you pull it off, but riding webs can take some getting used to, and changing direction while you're flying is particularly fiddly.įighting in The Amazing-Spider-Man 2 is based around three action buttons. The jump button doubles-up as a web-slinging control, the mechanism by which you can fly atop the skyscrapers in the game, which is the easiest way to get around. The controls in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are simple to master, especially if you played the first installment of the game. Your performance is measured against others' online with game currency up for grabs. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features an ' Arena' mode which is a fun free-for-all romp in which you must defeat as many baddies as you can before you die. Side missions are fun at first, but they soon become repetitive and a bit dull, which is frustrating when you need to play through them to earn coins. The stories in each chapter are nicely woven around the dastardly antics of a particular villain, making the story mode a joy to play. Many of the famous bad guys from the comics and movies feature in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, including Electro, Venom, and the Green Goblin. Although it's a paid game, you may find yourself having to make payments - or at least 'grind' by repetitively playing side missions - in order to defeat certain opponents to progress through the story. There are side missions which allow you to earn credits to purchase items or unlock new skills. In addition to fights with enemies, Spider-Man also can sneak attacks to surprise opponents, very effective when doing missions that penetrate the enemy lair quickly without losing a drop of blood, and this skill also needs to be upgraded by experience points. The action in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is essentially based around whizzing above the city on your webs, then splashing down to kick some butt or help out someone in need. After receiving a reward including experience points, players can upgrade their skills as well as improve new features for “Web-Shooters”. In missions include: stopping gangsters, rescuing hostages, disabling bombs, … That will get you the “Hero” title, but the game will deduct rewards if you do not participate, or when the mission fails, then you will receive the title “Menace” as a bad guy. The action is part of a system called “Hero or Menace”, which allows players to receive rewards and experience for their characters by taking part in the quests they have attributes supplies provided by your smartphone. In the game, the player controls the main character Spider-Man, swinging around New York City and restoring the city order from evil. During that time, the game also had two films produced by Sony Pictures and made the game famous. Works the same way was Legion legendaries, Antorus special weapons, Abyss Worm, Antoran Charound etc. Oh, as classic - it pops in your screen and IS NOT looted at the boss. Ive been struggling to create contraptions in Garrys Mod lately simply because I have tendency to want to be moving around on a flying vehicle that is. icon I started yelling and coulnd't even think properly for like 5 minutes.Īs a hardcore mount collector I was insanely happy that for once the luck was on my side (comparing the fact that Vitrous stone drake, North wind drake, Swift Zulian panther took more than 500 attempts, BFA dungeon mounts took well over 500 attempts combined etc). Thank god rarity took this screenshot, because when I saw the G.M.O.D. on fire, flying at 200/kph, youll be holding your tool gun / Gravity Gun. Comment by PihalecsmrtiThis amazing mount dropped for me yesterday, on, on normal difficulty after only 14 attempts! Never in any world I expected this mount in my inventory after so little effort. Garrys Mod (or GMod) is an sandbox physics game developed by Facepunch. Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters > Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz) > click the Advanced tab > select 802.11n bandwidth. To do this, change the configuration (in Windows 7): But can be configured to work with two frequencies is adapted automatically. The mobile card wireless driver is configured to work only with 20 MHz at the factory. The router is configured to run with a frequency of 20 or 40 MHz, making the switch automatically in the factory. The laptop is connected to a router TP-Link TL-WR740N. After losing an entire afternoon and looking at forums and their complaints, I think that I found the solution to the problem (at least, here is running). Recently I came across the same problem identified by many with a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 7520 with the Dell Wireless 1703 (Atheros chipset). My network card is a Wireless Dell 1703 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz and I tried to update and to re - download the firmware, but nothing seems to fix. If I try to fix connectivity problems, he always find and solve some in the network card or wireless, but then point again, after 10 minutes, or so, it happens again. But if I click on the network icon in the toolbar, it starts working again, but it stops in the next 10 minutes, once again, and so on. After, I'm online, every 10 minutes my network access stops working completely. First, wifi takes a lot of time to connect. I bought a Dell Inspiron 7520 for a week now, and I had a strange problem with internet connectivity since then. Problems of internet connectivity with Dell Inspiron 7520 (1703 of Dell Wireless 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz) I see that the graphics may not be as good as its console counterpart, but, it is a full fledged console game on a handheld. You are going about making your point in the absolute wrong way. If others don't have an issue with it then you need to respect their opinions. If you have a point to make it would be best to make it in a respectable manner. It runs at 720x408 instead of 960x544, so it looks blurrier and more jagged, but in terms of poly counts, bump mapping, shaders, and textures, Golden Abyss bests Uncharted 1 in most of these You seem to be the only person who is so angry regarding this issue. It only appears worse to you because Golden Abyss doesn't utilize the Vita's full resolution. Golden Abyss runs at a lower resolution, but things like character models and certain textures do look better than Uncharted 1. Im going to stop you right there and say Uncharted 1 looks way better than GA. If you have a point to make it would be best to make it in a respectable manner. The arcade mode is fairly enjoyable, but the Movie Battle mode borders on unplayable due to the cheap tricks of the AI and pointlessness of the choices, not to mention the movie based plot and cutscenes which don't really make sense. Im going to stop you right there and say Uncharted 1 looks way better than You seem to be the only person who is so angry regarding this issue. It's also disheartening that Kratos' psp models look better than his here. I have no problem with respecting other people's opinions on the graphics, but it is a straight out lie that MK on Vita looks EXACTLY the same as its console counterparts while fighting. I am upset because there are other full fledged console ports that look identical and in Golden Abyss' case(an original game), looks better than the first entry in the Uncharted series. I see that the graphics may not be as good as its console counterpart, but, it is a full fledged console game on a handheld.īut that's the thing. You seem to be the only person who is so angry regarding this issue. However, it’s just as much about the dark forces with which he’s consorting - he’s out in the middle of nowhere, and all kinds of strange shrieks and howls and bellows come out of the woods at night (and then during the day), suggesting monstrous things just out of sight. And this is just the part of it that is about Sean and his own safety. The film feels both highly claustrophobic, with lots of tight shots and close-ups in cramped interiors, and at the same time like it’s careening out of control, hurtling toward self-destruction. Sean’s mental state and grip on the world are precarious, and he’s invoking demons and making dangerous promises. The trailer has the ambiance of an illegal still, powerful chemistry being done with store-bought chemicals, flimsy equipment, and the barest minimum of safety precautions. His recklessness and instability does a lot of the heavy lifting until late in the movie when it becomes very clear there’s something out there, staged as a firelight meeting between Sean and a Cortez who seems…different. He’s already in a bad way when we meet him, and the isolation and meddling with powerful forces just speed the process along, so at pretty much no point does his situation feel safe or like he is in control. The film is as much about Sean’s steady psychological disintegration as anything else. Like Jug Face, it presents a vision of rural life with very little dignity or grandeur - everything is squalid and cheap and shabby, rickety. Sean’s friend Cortez visits him, brings him food, medication, and supplies for his experiments, and though the film is less focused on their relationship than Resolution is in its protagonists, there are echoes of that same thorny interplay between the one making very bad decisions and the one trying to pull his friend back from the brink. Like Resolution and Jug Face, it was shot on a small budget in limited locations, so what we get is less explicitly supernatural than odd and unsettling, by and large, but it definitely sets a tone. Like A Dark Song, it’s about someone using dark magic to single-mindedly pursue an outcome in isolation, and how the results of this work start to change things around the practitioner. And again, it’s very much its own thing, and “this meets that” is always going to be simplistic, but these were the touchstones that occurred to me. So, in a lot of ways, this really strikes me as sort of being like A Dark Song by way of Resolution and Jug Face. It’s an indie film shot on a small budget, which helps determine its aesthetic and focus to a certain degree, and it’s about alchemy and dark magic, with a focus on a single person going through a ritual and the ways that starts to change their environment. And since alchemy is at the intersection of chemistry and magic, what starts off as attempts at homebrew chemistry take a darker turn, and the stovetop experiments turn into rituals out in the woods.Īs loath as I usually am to discuss films in terms of other films, this is an odd one. It doesn’t seem like he’s having much success, and Sean, twitchy, manic, (he keeps popping some kind of prescription medication, and it seems to be very important that he keep getting this medication), out in the woods, is becoming increasingly frustrated at his lack of success. As it transpires, Sean’s trying to practice alchemy - real lead-into-gold alchemy. His name is Sean, and though it isn’t immediately clear what he’s up to, in between fitful preparations and decoctions he keeps consulting a book with some kind of mysterious sigil on the front. It’s littered, cluttered with candles, powders, cans, just a whole mess of things loosely cobbled together and all way too close to open flames. He’s blasting music really loud and messing with chemical substances of some kind on the oven in the trailer’s kitchen area. There’s a young man out in a trailer at the edge of a swamp. It’s less ritual circle and more meth lab, and the results are interesting, framing a story of personal disintegration. The Alchemist Cookbook treats it differently, like a ramshackle, homebrew process. Sometimes it works well and conveys grandeur, and sometimes it’s mere cliché. But one thing they all have in common is some kind of religious context, a focus on ritual and communion. There’s all kinds of ways to treat dark magic in film - you can go lurid and sensationalistic with it, you can treat it with somber dignity as a path of scholarship, you can reduce it to a few candles and a pentagram, and all of these show up in films I’ve written about. |
